Mikrotik equivalent

Hi,

I see have many type of wifi.

I want to know if mikrotik have an equivalent products for that https://www.ubnt.com/airfiber/airfiber24/ ?

Regards,

The closest thing is the wAP60 or LHG60 however they are 60Ghz not 24Ghz.
There is nothing 24Ghz in MikroTik at the moment.

As much as I love using mikrotik for routing and client CPEs (easy to check for issues, etc), they make horrible backbone links. We’ve been slowly switching over to Airfiber (5Ghz) from Netmetals. Difference is very noticeable.

Can you say how much the difference is after switchover ?

First link replaced I got an extra 40-50Mbps, same frequency.

The most recent one I went from a 40Mhz link to 20Mhz on the Airfiber. Got an extra ~20Mbps. I did change frequency however, the spectrum scanner is leagues ahead of the frequency scanner of Mikrotik.

Note, I do run a 75% duty cycle on the download side and both links have 45 degree slanted dishes so those do help but the biggest thing for me was the ping times, once the Mikrotik got saturated, pings skyrocketed. I just tested between 2 towers, peak time, and ping is between 1-2ms.

That is a good improvement in bandwidth !

By slant dish I assume you are referring to an offset dish rather than prime focus : with offset you cannot add rf shielding but can to prime focus dishes.

I rather disliked UBNT before actually getting our first link, also use their sectors (with basebox/netboxes) now, I love NV2 for clients.

By slanted dishes, I mean these: https://www.ubnt.com/airfiber/airfiberx-antenna/

They do take shielding:https://www.ubnt.com/airmax/isobeam/
