mikrotik hap ac how to setup 2wan 3lan newbie

Hi. I want to configure hap ac router with 2 wan and 3 lan
wan1 ppoe and wan 2 static ip whit failover. I’m new to mikrotik and I don’t really understand how to set it up.

Lots to learn before tackling more than one wan and one subnet
understanding, routing and firewall rules first for example. Its not a plugNplay device.
Check out youtub vides by mikrotik and network berg…

there is no command or script to enter in the terminal to set the router?
I found something on YouTube, but it doesn’t even show more detail, it shows something brief.

https://foisfabio.it/index.php/2022/12/14/mikrotik-2-wan-pppoe-routeros

here you will find an example. study the routing tables carefully

Copying without understanding is a recipe for disaster,

I bricked my router. I cant Connect to it anymore :expressionless_face:

Hopefully you only locked yourself out.
It happens to almost everyone until one gets familiar with Ros and learns a few tricks.
First thing try with Winbox if the device Is found via MAC address, maybe you just misconfigured the IP address or something else at L3 level and access Is still possible via Winbox.

now I can only connect via ipv6 or mac. ipv4 no longer works. I think I’ll put it aside and buy a router with dual wan and failover. it was good if I managed to make it work, I wouldn’t spend money on another router, but unfortunately I can’t manage to set it up. :frowning:

I managed to set it according to this link https://foisfabio.it/index.php/2022/12/14/mikrotik-2-wan-pppoe-routeros/ but
it doesn’t do what I need
.I need (ether1)wan1(pppoe) and (ether2)wan2(dhcp client)
and LAN (ether3, ether4 and ether5) failover system for wan1 and wan 2
if someone can write to me so that I can enter in the command line
and to set it. It is for use at home, not for any business
I work from home and I need an uninterrupted internet connection
that’s why I have 2 isp. And thank you in advance for your help

Another option is multiwan routers from Zyxel which are a bit more cookie cutter but still have some fidelity options.
Mikrotik takes effort (and time) if not willing to tackle the work, then seek something else.

the option to call a consultant is not good, it costs more than a router with dual wan. the idea was not to spend more money on another router, so I understand that I can’t find the help I need here.
the mikrotik product is good, but it lacks the support I need.

If by support you mean spoon feeding, you are correct.
There are some here that are more generous, so patience is in order.
