MikroTik hAP ac times out HTTPS requests to a particular site

Hi All,

I’m observing the most bizarre behavior of my MikroTik router.
All my HTTPS requests to https://api.travis-ci.com time out if I perform them from a device connected to an ethernet port of my router and succeed if I perform the same request from a device connected via WiFi.

Here is my device information:
uptime: 37m12s
version: 6.47.2 (stable)
build-time: Aug/13/2020 06:39:44
factory-software: 6.34.2
free-memory: 101.0MiB
total-memory: 128.0MiB
cpu: MIPS 74Kc V5.0
cpu-count: 1
cpu-frequency: 720MHz
cpu-load: 8%
free-hdd-space: 3552.0KiB
total-hdd-space: 16.0MiB
write-sect-since-reboot: 514
write-sect-total: 9008
bad-blocks: 0%
architecture-name: mipsbe
board-name: hAP ac
platform: MikroTik

I would appreciate any help with this mysterious matter.

Can you please supply the configuration (/export hide-sensitive file=whateveryoulike)?
Have you already checked anything (like tracert/test both wired and wireless/checked in the browser with F12 => developer tools/DNS/no VPN/no xxx-ware)?

erlinden thank you for willing to help and for your prompt reply!

After all, it looks like it’s DNS server of my provider.

I did nslookup and it seems like the addresses I’m getting are different:
Ethernet (where it’s not working):

Server: 172.30.128.1
Address: 172.30.128.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
api.travis-ci.com canonical name = lb-api.travis-ci.com.
lb-api.travis-ci.com canonical name = 243.158.73.34.bc.googleusercontent.com.
243.158.73.34.bc.googleusercontent.com canonical name = nettvern-info.telenor.net.
Name: nettvern-info.telenor.net
Address: 148.123.15.44

WiFi (where I specified DNS 8.8.8.8 explicityly:

Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53
Non-authoritative answer:
api.travis-ci.com canonical name = lb-api.travis-ci.com.
lb-api.travis-ci.com canonical name = 243.158.73.34.bc.googleusercontent.com.
Name: 243.158.73.34.bc.googleusercontent.com
Address: 34.73.158.243

The case can be closed.
