I’ve recently purchased a Mikrotik hAP AC2 in order to serve as a wireless access point for our house. The network setup is an AT&T fiber modem at another building being connected to a router, which is connected to an EZ-Bridge wireless antenna, which is sending the Internet connection to the other antenna at our house, which is wired into the hAP AC2. Without the hAP AC2, the system works if I plug the antenna directly into my PC, but if the hAP AC2 is in between, all wired and wireless connections are dropped intermittently and restarted by the router. I set up the hAP AC2 router using the PTP Bridge AP quick set (though I originally tried Home Dual AP and Wisp AP), but I haven’t been able to get it to work consistently.
Ether3 is the WAN port, and my log in WinBox is full of lines saying “ether3 detect WAN” and “ether3 detect INTERNET” with timestamps matching the connectivity interruptions. Any ideas what’s going on here? Or what I should be doing to fix it or where I can find information about properly setting this up as an access point?
