And I have an older camera that works for a few hours then stops working with the hAP AX S. Its nice while it works since it doesn’t drop frames the way it does with the wAP AX. But after a few hours… It will show as connected in caps-man… but its interface and video stream is unreachable.
If you want a hobby… Mikrotik wireless will keep you busy. BECASUE IT NEVER “Just Works!”
I set up a test to auto run speed test every five minutes and log the results over the weekend after updating to 7.23.1. I am seeing improved results over wifi with regards to bandwidth. Previously, it was very inconsistent, but now appears to be stable. That said I still seeing high packet loss over the wifi connection to the tune of 17% or higher. My understanding of this metric is that anything above 1-2% is unacceptable. Also just to confirm that the issue was not with the device i was testing from, i also ran several tests using my office wifi (Cambium Wireless Access Points) and saw a consistent packet loss at less that 1%.
I updated to 7.24 this morning, and will continue running the tests, but does anybody have any ideas on how to address this packet loss problem?

I have tested all possible WiFi settings, no changes at all. Faulty device?
On my old Zyxel AC access point I see different numbers.
I'm pretty sure that low average throughput is due to (excessive) retransmissions ... because dropped packets (and hence retransmissions) really kill throughput when using TCP connections (due to shrinking TCP window).
You may want to try testing using UDP connections. It's not affected by dropped packets (it will report that though), so it should point at the culprit: is it slow wifi interface or is it dropped packets. And mind that dropped packets might happen elsewhere, not necessarily on wifi interface (some MT devices are known to poorly handle speed changes, e.g. between wired ports running at different speeds).
I have to say that somewhen after 7.32.1 (and including with 7.23.2) I started to regularly achieve speeds of around 520 MBit/s with my hAP ax S which is a rather positive development.
