Mikrotik Hex-S + TP-Link Deco m4 Access Point not working.

Setup

ISP---->Hex-S—(router,nat,firewall,dhcpserver,dns)----->TP-Link Deco M4 AP Wifi

With the above setup my wifi access point does not work there is no internet connectivity however if I keep the same setup as above and setup my TP-Link Deco M4 as 2nd router my internet works? which I do not want since my Mikrotik is supposed to be the router and I don’t want 2 devices acting as a router and want all my traffic to be managed by Hex-S and my TP-Link Deco M4 as my Wireless Access Point.

I am stumped and need some assistance thank you.

Does a computer, connected to the hEX S, work?
Does the hEX S have a default config?
Is the “ISP” a modem/router?

As well as answering the above questions, please post full config
/export file=anynameyouwish ( minus router serial number, any public WANIP information, keys etc.)

The issue is now resolved everything works.

What was the issue??

I had to remove my older mikrotik devices from my network 951-2n,maplite,951Ui-2hnd, it seems like it does not like the Station Pseudo settings when operating as wifi ap clients to other devices, I just replaced my 951Ui-2hnd with the hex-s as my router this week and added a new AP with the deco m4. All those older devices served me well for 10 years but it was time for an upgrade on the network.

The Modem is in bridge mode. my mikrotik hex-s does all the nat/firewall.

ok heres my final update, I was able to reconnect my older mikrotik devices, by creating a 2nd wireless access point (wisp) with the 951Ui-2hnd, my map lite connects to that access point as a client using station bridge which has my voip ata connected on the single port, my older iot devices are connected via ethernet on the ethernet ports of the 951-Ui2hnd. the only device that I’m not using is the 951-2n i think it’s time to retire this device off my network.

I’m glad I got to keep my older Mikrotik equipment still working and added with my new setup with the hex-s and the deco m4.
