Mikrotik indoor AP (AC)

There seems to be quite a bit of activity around point to point links and WISP gear. but is there anything that would be functional as an indoor WiFI (2.4&5.0 N&AC) ideally powered by PoE using the RB260GSP

Yes, there on market is actualy only

That’s a bit more $$ than I was hoping for, and the case is a bit too tech looking for most business or home requirements. ideally you want that smoke detector look so they don’t get targeted for theft!

Something like this? Mikrotik CAP-2n

802.11 mPCIe - AC card

Hi,

I am also looking for a wireless ap for my home.
My favorit is the new RB922-5HPacD

I found some postings in this forum where people saying “ac and indoor sounds not good”
What they meaning ? Whats the problem ?

Thanks for response… I will buy one now

yeah would be nice a rb like 951g but 802.11ac

or better i think its time to see a rb like rb951g with 2 integrated radios one for 2,4ghz 802.11n 2x2:2 and another for 5ghz 802.11ac 2x2:2

i know there is basebox 2 and adding a 5ghz ac card do the job, but adding interface pigtails and antennas climb cost too much

customers are complaining about other vendor offers, i know are inferior in functionality but the boom of 802.11ac its putting pressure.

They are Getting Closer…
cAP -2n is exactly what I want except for no AC!

I was gonna break down and buy a couple Ubiquiti AP but they are 300$ ea. Should be less expensive options by now! (insert Mikrotik product announcement …

Also waiting patiently for Mikrotik to release a dual band AC router in RB951 format …

+1
with better CPU or hardware NAT
