I have a router Ubiquiti Edge Max Lite configured as L2TP/IPsec Server working just fine so l2tp/ ipsec clients like laptops , smartphones and tablets connect just fine. The Client configuration requires the user , password and shared secret in order to work.
I just got a Mikrotik mAP 2n portable router that I would like to configure as l2tp/ipsec client so when it creates the tunnel all the wireless clients traffic gets routed across the tunnel ,
I have seen some articles but none of them use a shared secret so the question is , can I accomplish what I want with this little router ?
Another think to keep in mind is that I don’t use a static IP address to connect to the VPN Server instead I use a hostname that gets the IP address updated with DynDNS.
