Mikrotik LHG60 can be used 70.20 GHz frequency?

Hi Guys,

On this link I found this https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/W60G

Is it possible to use 70.20 GHz on LHG60 with the US region?

Thanks,
Regards Nikola

I have tried to add 69120 frequency into scan-list, but it did not stayed there.
According the mentioned table, 70200 Mhz - 1080 Mhz (half of 2160 MHz channel width) is 69120 MHz.
This applies to any other frequencies in the table, which are accepted in the scan-list.

I hope that Mikrotik will unlock more frequencies for LHG60, considering that the frequencies that are at 70 GHz have considerably less attenuation of radio waves in dB/km. And it is possible to achieve a more stable link at greater distances.

The better frequencies are also generally reserved for licensed bands - not ‘class license’ or ‘open’ bands - as such the restrictions are based on local laws not on capabilities. Mikrotik could make a radio and antenna to run at any specific frequency they realistically wanted - but could risk being sued or banned from a region.

UBNT has a solution at 70 Ghz, so I thought that the mikrotik is moving in that direction :slight_smile: It would be nice

I’ve asked this question to the support team before. the answers are;

Hello,

Thank you for reaching to us.
Unfortunately there is no ETA for this feature or if it ever will be deployed.
