Mikrotik License L6

Hi,

We have a set of Mikrotik RB433AH with “roam” configuration using EoIP Tunnel and using just one Hotspot. The current license is L5, with max 500 active clients. Because of this limitation, I have a situation that forces me to acquire the L6 license for unlimited active clients scenario. So, my doubt is: how many licenses I must have for this situation? All RBs must be a L6 license too?

Have you considered to buy brand new, more powerfull device with L6 to replace 433AH and manage all these 500+ tunnels?

License handles limitation per device. If you are talking about limit of Hotspot users, then license should be upgraded only on Hotspot server router.

However, remember that license cost 250$:

Maybe it is worth to take a look at the other model routers and buy a new one.
