Mikrotik Lora8 Upgraded to 7.1, whoops problem, can't now downgrade

Hi All
Just upgraded a Lora8 gateway, which has 64MB flash, from OS 6.47 to 7.1 (including Lora). The upgrade apparently went ok (uploading relevant npk file to root) but now although the gateway receives LoRaWAN packets from devices it isn’t forwarding them to LoRaWAN network servers (same configuration as when it was operating ok under OS v 6). I tried various instructions to downgrade to 6.49.8 (the most recent of the 6 series) but when the gateway comes up after rebooting it’s still at 7.1. Assistance would be appreciated.

I’m trying to do the same thing too. I’ve just upgraded my hAP ac lite (mipsbe) device to v7.10.0 and whilst I have have no compelling reason to downgrade, this is my lab and I want to make sure I know how to downgrade even to v7.9.2.

I upload routeos-7.9.2-mipsbe.npk to the root and reboot - nothing happens. However, on the hAP ac lite, anything not in the flash sub-folder is lost on reboot so uploading to root is probably never going to work?

So I thought I’d upload to the flash folder and see if that makes any difference. Except I can’t upload into the flash folder as there isn’t enough space :frowning:

Have I got myself into a corner. Am I even going to be able to upgrade to a new version in future?

Ignore me… waffling on as usual. The correct procedure is to download the npk to the root (ignore flash) and use the /system/package/downgrade command. Voila, back to 6.49.8.
