MikroTik LtAP mini R11e-LTE GSM connection issue

Hi!

We are experiencing some trouble with our ltAP mini, maybe because screw something up, but i’ve got no idea.
The concept is that the router is in LTE AP mode, powered over PoE, and its connected to a tablet over Wifi, and to a POS (Ingenico) terminal over the PoE injectors eth port. (and of course we have inserted a SIM card to the right slot, to be honest, we’ve tried both slim-slots)
Some of them are working all right, but some of them getting CME ERROR 100, and about the log it seems to be that it gets +CSQ: 99.99 response after a short time. See log attached
And even if it gets good signal (18,99) we cannot ping 8.8.8.8 , so tablet and POS terminal doesn’t get internet access.

Somebody has any idea what could be the solution?

The SIM cards are activated, working in other devices.
RouterOS version 6.45.5
log.txt (45.9 KB)

Check your antenna direction, if is correct.

Anyway is very hard get Internet access over 2G on these days.

Regards.

Dear krafg!

Thanks for yout reply, we don’t use an external antenna, and we are using sim cards witch ones are capable to connect to 3G and 4G networks (as you can see in the log file).
Internal antenna working just fine with other devices (but with same SIM card) on same spot so external antenna is not going to solve the problem.

Anyone have any other idea?

Have you tested to update the LTE modem firmware?

Reset MikroTik to defaults
Upgrade firmware of LTE modem

If not works out-of-box then write to support@mikrotik.com with supout.rif and those logs.
