i’m having some problems during the configuration of my brand new Chateau Router.
I had only set APN parameters. I can ping the router but i’m not able to ping my external server (IP address).
I’m a newbie and i want to know if exist a step by step guide to configure this device.

Better if you set 802.11g/n on 2.4 Ghz and 802.11n/ac on 5 Ghz at least.
It’s normal that you can’t ping external ip from inside your lan. If you don’t ask at TIM a public ip, you can’t reach your network from outside neither.

You extrnal server at internet ? Any other Internet host’s works?
Maybe you need a DNS from your ISP to start Internet working.
Some Chateau must disable Use-Network-APN to start working properly with Internet.

I read all books about RouterOS, read wiki, testing at hardware and GNS3. I go to MTCNA… you can watch many YT Toturials too.
have you reset your device with reset button?
I guess so because Chateau normally does not come with Capsman mode enabled.
It normally is automatic (even APN from service provider).
Only thing needed would be the SIM PIN.
What you have probably done is pressed the reset button too long!
I would give it again a try: press the reset button while power up and stop pressing when the blue led starts to blink…
Then it should be normal AP with Wifi SSID visible, all ports connected and all setup to go out on the internet (if SIM has no PIN code)…
