I have a problem with using of netflow Ver 5 of mikrotik(Ver 2.9.6) in traffic flow accounting.In my scenario,mikrotik is my pppoe server and i use a billing software(UTM5 http://www.netup.biz) for traffic flow accounting of clients(UTM5 only accept netflow v5 packets for traffic accounting).
in my test,client(pppoe client)downloaded a file around 150MB size from internet,but mikrotik netfolw sent a reports around 0.5MB to UTM5.i thought it’s a Nat problem in mikrotik.then i used a ftp server in my network for downloading a file from it, without using Nat in mikrotik,also i set quote of user 5MB in UTM5(means after client download 5MB,it is disconnected and can’t download anything from ftp server ).then i checked UTM5 netflow reports.mikrotik netflow sent statistics late and wrong.after client download was around 48 MB ,UTM5 received two records from mikrotik netflow around 130MB and was disconnected (it means that client download arround 130MB ).i change some parameters of mikrotick netflow (such as buffer,active timeout ,inactive timeout),but my problem hasn’t been yet solved.
Please help me.
Also,Netflow can’t work with Nat correctly.does anybody have any solution about this?
