I am trying to install Mikrotik on an ESX Server. It boots properly from ISO Image, then i select the packages that i want to install and then press “i” then “n” and then as soon as I press “y” to continue my keyboards NUM LOCK and SCROLL LOCK starts blinking and systems hangs up. Then i have to reboot the Virtual Machine.
I have done installs on VMWare Workstation 7 before and it works fine. Then what is the problem with this.
Can anyone tell me any method how can i go ahead with this.
did you try both v4.17 and also v5rc11 ?

I was trying to install 3.28 but it did not work now i tried to install 4.17 and it is installed.
Can you please tell me why is this.
logically, new drivers are only included in new RouterOS versions. VMware ESX is new software

i have 4.17 runnning on latest vmware esxi 4.1U1 - no problem - use Intel eth - problem is in the config of your virtual machine !
MT 4.17 is running fine. I am talking about 3.28, me system hangs during installation
