Hello. I apologize for the translation.
Bought Mikrotik crs125-24g-1s-rm as the main router.
The task such:
There is a network of 100 computers, three managed switch, is divided into six vlan s.
At the moment as a router and access the Internet using a stationary computer with FreeBSD.
After you enter the Vlan 1C was for a long time to boot.
It was decided that the bottleneck router and bought a Mikrotik.
On Mikrotik to configure vlan, the distribution of dhcp.
The question as to leave the computer with FreeBSD, so Mikrotik redirect all requests to the Internet on FreeBSD.
CRS is mainly switch. What performance do you expect?
Actually CRS will act as a network kernel. The main objective of CRS to route Vlan.
Exactly that is the problem. The CRS series are designed NOT to route anything. They are designed to SWITCH at wirespeed, which they do well, with a low performance router as their management interface. Routing capabilities are a side effect of that.
So if you need more that 200MBps routing speed, you probably would want a CCR instead.
ОК. Thanks for council. I of course thought that CRS for this purpose doesn’t approach, but hoped that 2-3 Gb will pull.
Prompt then on future how to adjust it on CCR?
I so understand it it is necessary to adjust in static routes?
Ccr is router. It accepts both static and dynamic routes. For basic performance overview see the product page. It could be able to pass 3gbits.
