OpenVPN protocol is pretty much the standard for the open source networking.
It seems MikroTik customers and users have been requesting some of the OpenVPN features for years.
With the latest test releases we received a few:
7.2rc2
ovpn - improved UDP session handling;
winbox - added SHA256 and SHA512 “Auth” values for OVPN menu’s;
Does anybody know, if MikroTik is going to include the openvpn http-proxy setting and TLS authentication?
It looks like even in RouterOS v7, MikroTik still do not use the opensource OpenVPN implementation, for whatever reason they have.
So I would not expect all obscure features of that version to become available in RouterOS. Only the most commonly requested ones.
I bought a mikrotik device, but without the TLS-AUTH function I am forced to return it.
Too bad because the product looked perfect
TLS-AUTH in OVPN Client is implemented in 7.12 and it works!
