Mikrotik Powerline Devices

Hello,

Why does Mikrotik no longer produce devices with powerline technology?

For years I have used the PL7411-2nD with success and full customer satisfaction and now I have to fall back on non-Mikrotik products.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a model of AP with powerline that has the reliability and configuration characteristics of the PL7411-2nD?

Thanks.

I’ve used Devolo in the past, never had problems with it. But it has been at least 5 years since I don’t use them anymore.
(long story short: solar panel convertor practically killed the powerline signal so had separate cat6 cable installed between the points where I used powerline before)

You should check TP-Link, they have quite a few powerline devices available.

EU version disappeared, US version is still there.
Did someone put a US-EU-power converter-plug on the US one? (https://www.wispmax.com/pl7411-2nd.html)

RouterOS in the powerline is the main difference from the other.

The newer, as replacements “Power Line Pro”, do not have an AP version (but will connect and power a hAP ac2 via PoE).
PWR Line Pro themselves have no RouterOS and cannot be managed or monitored.

hAP Lite comes closest if you can find that special USB power supply/line adaptor PL6400 or PL7400

Thanks for your considerations and advice.
I think I will turn my attention to Tp-Link products, especially for the variety of Powerline products and the update of their software.
