Mikrotik PPTP / L2TP servers stop working completely

Hello,

I have set up a PPTP and L2TP server and have noticed recently that the PPTP and L2TP server services stop working completely.

I have tried to disable and re-enable both PPTP and L2TP servers from the PPP menu but that doesn’t help.

Only a reboot of the Mikrotik router helps.

This happens about once a day. I do not think it is my config because if it was a bad config, the servers wouldn’t work anyway. Rebooting keeps things running for maybe 12-24 hours then it usually goes down.

My server is an open public server for using PPTP and L2TP from outside the USA for bypassing geo-location restrictions.
