Mikrotik RB 1100AHx2 and ROS 6.XX support.

We have a problem with Mikrotik RB 1100AHx2 and ROS 6.11, 6.14. Mikrotik RB 1100AHx2 often restarts with error “kernel panic”. The situation is repeated on a large number of routers of this model with different firmware. We tried starting with firmware 6.10 and 6.15 to the last. Please verify, colleagues, Does anyone have similar problems? Mikrotik RB 1100AHx2 makes termination PPPoE, balance OSPF traffic and speed limits subscribers.

If you are using firmware 5.xx ROS please let us know what you have the latest firmware for the RB stable 1100AHx2?

I have running and rb1100ahx2 with the same problem ( 5.26 and the latest firmware)

I have a dubt if in 6.x I will have the same problem. I reported the problem with mikrotik suppuort but they suggest me “upgrade to the latest version”

This device is allocated in other city (400 km) so is a problem if I lost the remote access

I suggest you update to the latest version and firmware also. Report any problem to support mikrotik.

For me Set the konfig new from Delivery konfig fix this

My 4 RB1100AHx2 are still to 6.7 + 3.10 because when mikrotik rewrite ppp on 6.8 broke almost all ppp functionality on routeros… I have open some ticket about that, but not all fix come out just some till 6.15. Stlii do kernel panic on pppoe + eoip + mppe on same board… on one topic for 6.10 or more (i not remember) I post one case study to do kernel panic on repeatable and controllable way, but no reply and no fix…

6.7 for my 4 gateways are ultra-stable, and all part of routeros I use, it work as expected.

I guess I lucked out – that’s what I’m running on my 1100AHx2’s.

I was looking at upgrading to a newer version soon, though. Is there a fix expected in 6.16?

I am running a PPP link for VPN access.

We updated mikrotik RB1100AHx2 in our laboratory to firmware 6.16rc9 (2014-Jun-20 13:24). While the old problems with Vlan and sudden reboots the router is not observed.

Im running RB1100AHx2 with l2tp and pptp VPN with ROS 6, can confirm running without problem. Maybe some hardware failure ?

How is the running cpu process ?

is not hardware failure. We check.
