Does anyone know if the Routerboard RB411AR supports simultaneously the built in 2.4Ghz interface for accepting the wifi clients, and the mini pci R52nM 2.4Ghz inerface for doing the repeating of a wifi channel ?
I want to use the R52nM to connect to a wifi internet channel from an outdoor Bullet2 (2.4GHz) and then bridge it with the built in 2.4 ghz radio interface and use it for connecting it with laptop or mobile to the internet.
I do not want to use WDS.
If not, can someone suggest me something equivalent concerning the hardware.
A last newbie question: Does the built in radio interface of the RB411AR and the mini pci cards (such as the R52nM) require an external antenna for broadcasting or they have an on board PCB antenna ?

you can use both wireless interfaces as you want, station or AP.
so, Yes, you can use it as “repeater”, as long as you bridge these 2 interfaces.
and yes, you need external antennas

What you have to do, is to make the first wireless interface as station and connect it to your AP and the second wireless interface as APbridge, so you will connect to this interface. You must make a bridge for these two interfaces and give this bridge an ip address of the network it is connected
