Mikrotik RB750GR3 as Router/Modem germany

Hi,

my home is connected to the internet via ADSL2+ Annex J.
At the moment i have a fritzbox 7412 as my Router and Modem.

My provider is 1und1 in germany.

Can i use the mikrotik as the Router and Modem?
I tried to connect to my provider via pppoe, but it doesnt work. Maybe i made a mistake.

No I do not think it has modem qualities. Strictly a router or a switch.
