Hello all,

I’m currently interested in buying the router from the topic title (Mikrotik RB951-2N-Level 4).
I host a couple of gameservers (mainly Counter-strike 1.6, CS:GO, CS:Source) but I’m constantly getting flooded (botnet/UDP Flood).
Only the 1.6 servers work on UDP protocol and they are being flooded. My internet bandwidth is ~80mbps, but the traffic I receive during the flood is 500mbps+. Iptables don’t seem to manage and the machine just dies. Currently I’m not using any router and the cable goes into the PC directly from the switch.
So my question is - would this router manage to take such an attack without deterioration of the service (lag in servers/high ping)?

No router can help you with that.
Only your ISP can block the IPs, but once the traffic reaches your router your connection is already full.
Also the RB951 is a home user device that will probably not handle that much traffic.
