Mikrotik ROS 5RC1 failed install on HP Proliant DL180 G6

Hello Friends, i am failed install Router OS 5 RC1 on HP Proliant DL180 G6
It didn’t recognise the harddrive sata and CD ROM sata..
It is also failed when upgrade from 5 beta 6.

any body gave me any clue or should we wait for next version?
I did install the 4.11 but it doesn’t have any driver for ethernet.
I could not install the 3.30 because it doesn’t able to recognize the device.

Any body can help?

Experiment with the BIOS settings. Maybe it works if you set SATA to Legacy mode, or turn on/off the AHCI mode

Hi Normis,
Thanks for prompt reply.
Your suggestion was working properly, turn off the AHCI mode and set it up with compatible mode make the installation working fine.
But this is the RC version, RC means release candidate.. I want to use this machine (Proliant DL180 G6) become production core router and need the stable version.
Since ROS 4.11 didn’t recognize the onboard Ethernet port and there is no driver for this port, is there any other way to solve this problem? I have purchased the license for it, but have not submitted yet the software-id because of this matter.

Another information, the proliant DL180 G6 uses intel 82576 gigabit network chipset.

Thank you very much,

Julius
