Mikrotik Router rb4011igs+5hacq2hnd-in can handle 80 concurrent wireless users

Good day, please I want to know if the Mikrotik Router rb4011igs+5hacq2hnd-in can handle 800 concurrent wireless users…
Thanks.

Do you mean 80 or 800? And what is your definition of “handle”?

I think that around 30 devices per radio is a good startingpoint. But depends on the consumption per device.

Perhaps you can add some additional information about the use case?

The simple answer, probably not. While I believe Wave2 specs state 200+ users per radio, theoretical and real world are two different things because of interference between clients. At my workplace (not using MT), 2x2 APs (low-end enterprise AC i.e. not Meraki or Ruckus) are deployed to cover around 30–50 users. Keeping in mind that most people today will not only connect their tablet/notebook, but also their phone, it really doesn’t work that well above 30 users and becomes totally unusable during breaks. Your use case might get you better answers…

I would say density is not the forte of many wifi products, some aka ruckus are designed to work in dense environments.

That would be a fun test… 800 clients on one device…

If you plug that RB4011 into a switch with the right amount of WAPS from a different manufacture… sure.
