Mikrotik SFP with Procurve

Hi, I want to try mikrotik SFP transceiver. Anyone out there ever tried this with Procurve switch ?
Just want to make sure that the SFP transceiver compatible with HP switch.

Btw im using Procurve 1910 & 1810

You should have a look to use SFP modules with same properties (Single-/MultiMode, CWDM color and so on).

HP vendor lock their switches so they only work with their own brand modules.

I think your answer is misleading.
ProCurve perhaps only work with their own SFP modules inside the HP switch. It does not matter which SFP module is on the other side (inside the MikroTik) but they must use the same transmission mode.

Edit: I think there are also HP compatible SFP modules from other vendors (e.g. http://www.fiberstore.com/1-25gbps-cwdm-sfp-20km-single-mode-optical-transceiver-p-33979.html )

That is correct Martin. It is only the HP switch that is locked the remote end can be anything.
