I keep having an incident, irregularly, where I have an SR9 start showing an unrealistically low noise floor (-122ish) and all the clients drop off. A quick disable/enable cycle brings everyone back onto the radio normally, and the noise floor goes back to showing its normal status (-98ish)
It doesn’t seem to be thermal, as its occurred during all times of the day and daylight conditions
Periodic recalibration is enabled and set for 1 minute.
Unluckily that didn’t help at all… Still requiring manual disable/enable cycles anywhere from every few hours to every few days…
Same situation - during the outage theres an outrageously low noise floor reported (lower than -120 consistantly), everyone falls off, and doesn’t straighten itself out until after its manually cycled.
Oddly this is our ‘quietest’ SR9 noise-wise - pointed out into 50 miles of pine forest. It was VERY reliable (11 connections) until this problem started, and once its reset the performance is great until the next screwup-cycle starts.
So far I haven’t seen it on any other sites running the same hardware and similar configuration…
Not yet, but it will have to occur in the next few days as I’m getting tired of dealing with the problem. We’ll end up replacing the unit with an RB133 with a new sr9 and 8602 thats been properly tested as assembled.
