Mikrotik to Mikrotik Dual VPN

I need some help to achieve something.

I have two Mikrotik routers that i’m in control of, one is the CPE, and the other is the head-end (HE) in the dater-center. I have 2 live IP address assigned to the HE, and am able to make 2 independent VPN connections to the router. My CPE can establish these two VPN (pptp) connections to the HE, and with a bunch of scripts etc, i have it able to keep a primary link and a backup, and fail over to the backup… but some of the connections seem to be ok with this, others not… lets say i was downloading something or in a video conference… there would be a NATed connection in the track on the CPE side, (going up/down the tunnel) and on the HE side, (going to/from the destination server). If the VPN fails over… i want it to be able update the connection track… or something, so that i can continue to download without interruption, if a VPN/link fails.

Anyway… i could probably hack this out further.. but was wondering… is there not another type of technology i can use to achieve this, like BGP, OSPF… ??
