MikroTik used by Amazon in their cloud datacenters

CBS ran a video about “Where is the cloud actually located” and showed the Amazon datacenters. The video shows several MikroTik devices:

at 4:10 and at 6:24

Looks like Amazon uses our products in one of the worlds biggest cloud systems.
Be inspired and have a great day with your own projects

Sadly, it looks like the footage was probably all from inside the Raging Wire data center and not an AWS data center. It was still good to see it being used though.

really? !
I think this is wonderful news.

And it’s not just one. We can see a many Routerboards in the Data Center.
Nice news!

RB3011 being used as DNS cache. Not bad at all.

PS: My RB2011 is begging for an upgrade.

Sweet!!!

I see a lot of Nokia 7210 SAS in that video along with Juniper MX2xx and 4xx

In New Zealand if I visit co-location style Datacentres, almost every rack will have a Mikrotik router in it. However in the big Tier3+ DC’s used by enterprises it is primarily Juniper, Nokia(AlcaLu) and Cisco.

Ragingwire is part of NTT, they are data center operator and they are in business of leasing data center space and infrastructure to cloud providers like AWS, Microsoft and others … so we actually dont know if this particular RACK is rented by AWS or somebody else …

bratislav, RagingWire customers uses Mikrotik Routerboards

Yes! :sunglasses:

Excellent news and well done Mikrotik.

Keep up the good work

I knew it.

Congrats MikroTik, I show management products for under $100 and they think they are not good enough when in reality they are great. Disruptive pricing is hard to take seriously but you guys deserve the recognition.

Very happy for you! And for us, because we make the good choice!

Keep the good work up, we salute you!

Its nice to see Mikrotik on Amazon DC. Keep it up!

Makes total sense…“Routing the world!!!”
Keep it up!

Cool. I’ve also seen a pair of MikroTik’s in a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnit grocery store today. They were labeled “master” and “backup”

Excellent

Super cool! MT and all us users must be on to something good finally

A thread with picts/notes of MT “sightings in the wild” would be miles long… for good reason!
