was glad to see you in Czech, guys, but unfortunately the way to Texas is out of my budget… how much does flight from Europe to USA cost? =)

What about training? Will MT be offering training before MUM as they did last year in Chicago?

Thanks,

Tom

I sent the info over to my boss today - I’m hoping that I get to go  It’s only a few hours from here…

-Darci

GBP400 flight plus GBP200 for accommodation, so I won’t be going! Sad, but times are tough and I’ve already been to Dallas.

Nick.

I go… I go !!!..

Only a tank or two by Prius !!

I guess there is training.

August 31- September 2, United States, Fort Worth TX, MikroTik (Essentials, Advanced Traffic Control, Train-the-Trainer)

Tom

I can’t go there on those days.

Next one could be in Norway, Finland, Sweeden or New Zealand. The Prague MUM was very good guys.

New to MikroTik and RouterOS and was happy to see this MUM right in my own backyard! Awaiting approval from the boss- but one way or another I plan on being there.

If anyone needs help with accommodations or info about the Metroplex (DFW), I’d be more than happy to help!

Hi everybody ;
i should start checking with the US embassy to see if i could get the visa , hope to be in MUM .
my birthday will be in september , is there a present ??? .

with best regards to all .

Wow. Coming from Iraq, you’re a very brave man to want to go to the US. You have my utmost admiration!

I’m stoked, ready for September. Czech Republic MUM set the bar high, wonder if there will be beer?

would that be a MUM without the legendary afterparty ? i mean http://mum.mikrotik.com/gallery/v/PL07/ and others

Right, I have just booked my flights and paid the course costs. I am flying all the way from New Zealand and looking forward to the training, MUM and my first trip to America.

Can anyone suggest some sights to see during the evenings ?

You are coming from the middle of Winter down in NZ to the middle of Summer in the USA so plan on preparing for the heat.

If your trip allows a lay over in Hawaii, take as much time as you can and spend some time on Waikaki Beach.

I have flown from the USA to Sydney, Australia twice. The second time, I scheduled a 3 day lay-over in Hawaii and it was wonderful. I assume that NZ to the USA follows the same air route.

I guess we will have to wait for the locals from Dallas or Ft. Worth to fill us in with the hot spots for night life.

I’ll be there all week. Training plus the show.

Tom

Yeah, I have done a little reading on Wikipedia and the like, but the locals always know best.

Are you staying at the venue ?

Here are a few suggestions from a Fort Worth local. Sites to see: Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth- safest downtown anywhere in the US and where you will find the more native Texans, quite friendly. Bars: 8.0’s, Embargo, Aqua Lounge, Patty Reds, Billy Miners, etc, etc. Be sure to drink the local Rahr beer.
About a mile to the north are the Historic Stockyards. White Elephant Saloon is the oldest saloon in FW. Next door is the Love Shack, great hamburgers, try the Dirty Love Burger. Next door to Love Shack is the Bull Ring, an ice cream parlor and beer joint.
Just a stones throw west of downtown Fort Worth is the Cultural District: Amon Carter Museum, Kimbell Art Museum, Modern Art Museums are all first class.
Places to eat in FW: Fred’s Cafe, Paco & Johns (Tex Mex), Angelo’s BBQ, Fuzzy’s Taco shop, La Familia, Uncle Julio’s, Esperanza’s (cash only), Joe T. Garcia’s (check out the patio and drink the margaritas).
In Arlington, there’s the new state-of-the-art Cowboys Stadium- about three miles south on Hwy 360 where the training will be held.
As far as Dallas, well Dallas is Dallas.
I’ll post more places/things to do when they come to mind. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Thanks Holden, the dirty love burger sounds great.

Hey bud,

Do you have any contacts?

cheers
