I’m using point to point link through Mikrotik RB 433AH and XR5 cards in the two ends of link the distance is 7 Km, everything is being OK till I’m loaded 6 Mbps download/6 Mbps Upload when the bandwidth reach the maximum or near from it, the ping between two ends become not stable and many “request timed out” appeared, if there is any way to solve this problem or any other link configuration we can use? please we need your support urgently.
You are saying that you have a packet loss when pushing throu traffic near max capacity ?
If so … it is normal. Ping is nothing else than traffic on you network. and if you use TCP protocol to send traffic, this protocol will increase its speed until packet loss will occur.
if you need ping going in backgroud of other traffic you need to prioritize it…
If OP is only getting 6megs on an XR5 then something else is wrong.
Please post your configuration for us to review.
