I have a Mikrotik Router in place.
I have enable some basics rules on it, such as allowing to ping it remotely, dropping everything on the WAN, as well as dropping invalid requests alongside blocking some social media sites and only opening them to some IP addresses and some NIC MAC addresses.
However, we are having problem with JUSTCLOUD. It is a cloud back up software. It just doesn’t work with MikroTik, even though we have not blocked it or anything.
You will need to give more information on your setup, preferably an export of your firewall filter, to be able to get more help. As long as you allow outbound connections from the LAN clients, they should be able to reach that site just fine.
How are you blocking social media sites? That could also be interfearing with communication to the service. Things like the content and layer7 matcher really don’t work well for blocking specific websites without causing a host of other issues, nor is it reliable for that kind of use.
