I am trying to use a Sierra Wireless AirCard 320U with a Mikrotik hAP ac via USB port.
When I use this dongle with a PC, it works (Netgear AirWatch installed). However I am having issues when using with my Mikrotik router.
It seems to be failing at the DHCP stage.
- Using RouterOS version 6.43.7 (also tried 6.40.5 - had the same issue)
- The dongle is detected under Resources → USB
- An LTE interface (lte1) is automatically created on the router when the dongle is plugged in
- I have set the APN, and the lte link comes “up” according to the System Log, and the lte1 → Cellular tab shows all 13 fields filled out (Operator, LAC, …etc, etc)
- however, no IP address for this connection gets created. When I go to IP → DHCP Client, the lte1 interface is in a constant Status of “searching”.
(I have also tried disabling DirectIP on the interface to run it on PPP mode, but that doesn’t seem to work either).
Any help or suggestions much appreciated..!
