Mikrotik with Technicolor DGA2232

in my office we have Technicolor DGA2232 as the modem&router&firewall
I want to use it only as modem and WiFi , and make all the connection\firewall\dhcp from my Mikrotik device

is it something I can do ?

As long as wifi is not part of Mikrotik’s LAN … but I guess this is not what you had in mind. To have Mikrotik as gateway/firewall and use Technicolor’s wifi as part of LAN … I guess this isn’t possible.

Some ISP-provided boxes offers the ability to disable the built-in DHCP-server and change LAN-adress, some doesn’t.

But then you can’t use the modem-part.

Half new question about it

the DGA2232 is now the main router (conenct to the internet and also a DHCP server)
up until here everything is working
I have 2 problems:

  1. need to open a site to site vpn connection and the is no such option in the DGA2232.
  2. I thought I can make a lt2p from a mikrotik , then add route to the vpn netwrok . - no such option in the DGA2232 (no “add route” option).

My question is what can I do ?
is there any way I can make the mikrotik DHCP server ?
I only have an optin the add DHCP relay in the DGA2232 - can this help me? and also what would I need to config in the Mikrotik?
