I am intending to use RB SXT G-2HnD as AP and TP-LINK TL-WA5210G as CPE. Does it supports WDS??
you can use your tp link as a station (cpe) to the aceess point (mikrotik ) …you dont need to wds…
Yes, I tried that and it worked.
But, I have set 3 TP-LINK as repeater to extend the wireless coverage and it’s not working.
Log says, connected, is AP, wants WDS.
I can’t have connection.
What I have to do for it?
It depends how you setup the TP-Link.
Usually the TP-Link you can flash with DD-WRT firmware. Then all problem should dissapear.
In the repeater mode, the DD-WRT software will look for the MAC address of the AP, and just repeat it. On Layer 2. Not touching layer 3 or higher.
And that is what you need.
