Look at the logs when it dies. That should hopefully give you some clue as to what is going wrong.
It kind of sounds like you might be running a DHCP client on your WAN interface and populate the default route and DNS servers via DHCP, and that the lease dies and isn’t renewed. But given that you posted virtually no details that’s a wild guess. When it dies also check the DHCP client section, I guess.
