Hi,
I have installed 3 RB112 acting as AP.
all 3 RB are connected at 5GHz with a CM9 minipci.
each AP has another CM9 card operating at 2.4GHz.
the 3 RB are positioned in very high building and each building has a distance about 300 meters.
Now I want select a different channel for each AP but I have to choise between channel 1 to channel 6.
I know that non overlapping channels are 1, 6 ,11.
Now I try as elementary channel 1,3 and 6 but on channel 6,1 and 5 I have interferences(I think) so I have sporatic long ping(eratic) with slow connectivity with the clients also. only the best configuration is channel 2,3 and 4 but I want to understand if 300 meters without obstacles could cause interference between my APs.
Please, help me.
Sure, but it depends by the antenna gain and orientation.
You can use channel 1,1,6, placing the same channel (1) on the two ap which are on the opposite side. Take a look at the antenna’s orientation for best cell overlapping.
thanks,
hai ragione.
The only way is try.
