Minimum requirement to be a official Mikrotik consultant

Hi there, good day,

To be an official Mikrotik consultant and to be able to register as a consultant listed on the Mikrotik website. I understood that the minimum requirement for MTCNA scores is 75%. Let’s say I took MTCRE, and my score is 71%. Am I eligible?

Thanks

Not sure but if the answer is YEs, I will be sure to make recommendations except for Alex from Malaysia

I can try to assist you learning a bit more if you are interested.

Well. I have to work hard to get top marks in the future!

Thanks. I am just a newbie here. Just started to play with Mikrotik stuff since last year.

As per https://mikrotik.com/consultants

In order to become a MikroTik certified consultant you have to have an MTCNA (score 75%) and at least one active MikroTik engineer level certificate (MTC*E) with a score 75%. You can apply from within your mikrotik.com account (Edit account details section), state your fields of expertise, and you will be added to the list. The information will be processed within three business days. To remain in the consultant list, you will have to have valid engineer level certificate(s), renew them every 3 years. Only those active engineer level certificates with a score 75%+ will be shown next to your consultant profile. Additionally, as a consultant we expect you to participate in the MikroTik Forum and attend the MUM events in your country as a presenter conducting RouterOS case studies or workshops.

I worry about Mack Usman, with an address in the Phillipines but currently shown swimming in the ocean half way between Australia and Antarctica.

looks like location on map of consultants is being abused, presumably/allegedly by some to be more visible than other consultants

@muaazteladia - Wow, one post in DEC 2022 and now a few posts today out of guilt probably. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Kettle black any??
Suggest you take your certification down for a bit.

Some members here never took an exam yet are far more knowledgeable then those being listed as consultant…

My 0.02€…

So where is all the help when needed by certified Users then ??
What a load of rubbish Lad!

as the marketing said:
the forum is community edition version of help,
the consultant is subscription edition version for certified users

I think @ToTheFull refers to the requirement that one has to be “active” on the forum in order to maintain their official consultant status. But the particular kind of activity is not specified. I guess it would be complicated to verify conformance to a more specific requirement, like “you have to actually resolve one forum topic a year”.

Oh I know what he meant but the snotty approach and lack of posts by himself except same day ( to cover up the arrogance ), was just to ironic to pass up.

To be fair, “we expect” has a meaning which Is (IMHO) very different from “are required”.
It seems more like a “good willing wish” than a contractual clause.
