miniPCI-to-PCI adapter voltage

Hi,


I’m planning to use R52Hn miniPCI adapter in a standard PCI slot on my x86 desktop computer. So for this I bought a miniPCI-to-PCI adapter:

But now I’m worried, because I don’t see any 3.3V regulator on this adapter. As I understand R52Hn requires 3.3V from a PCI slot, but all my PCI slots on a motherboard are 5V. Is there a chance I could kill R52Hn (or motherboard) if I put it in a 5V PCI slot using the above adapter?

UPDATE (in case someone is interested):

The adapter works just fine with R52Hn on Intel D2500CC mini-ITX motherboard. I finally have a 5 GHz AP in my Debian Linux router :slight_smile:

Hey, thanks! I wasn’t aware Mikrotik miniPCI-e cards existed :slight_smile: To be honest, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Guess I wouldn’t have gone miniPCI route if I knew about this miniPCI-e card… Anyway, thanks again for the info!
