miniPCI wlan numbering scheme

Hi folks,
can please anybody explain to me how does ROS assign numbers to different miniPCI wireless cards? e.g. if there is any logic between MAC address of the card and its respective wlanX chronological number or any relationship between the port into which is the card inserted in RouterBoad (e.g. RB433) and wlanX interface name?

I can tell you that moving a mini pci card between different ports on the RB433 does not change it’s name.

is that the only option then? to power the ROS, find out how the numbering scheme has been selected and mode the N connectors to match the wlanX numbers? what happens after a hard reset of the device? are the numbers reassigned?
