Hey Guys, i need router for 1000 user include: wifi and PC client with: loadbalancing (2 or more), VLAN and VPN.
So, mirotik 1016 is ok ! 1036 is expensive.

There is no answer to this. You need to have more info about what the 1000 users are using the router for. To just forward public ip’s, or shaping with nat …eg. It will differ a lot. A pppoe NAS with 1000 cpe’s would probobly max out interface ( 1000 users = 1mbps max per port) In practical use i have about 2-300 users per g interface, and 1000 max in a 10gig enviroment. If the router are going to process traffic in CPU, eg firewall rules, 300 is probably max.
Maybe 3-4 1100’s are the best choice?
One device for 1000 users?
