on the RB450 or 750 series router’s I have port mirroring setup and working. however, Im curious if there is a way to mirror traffic from the pptp or eoip connections.
I have a remote location that is connected via eoip and I am at a loss as to how I could mirror the traffic. Is this possible?
My only other guess is to bridge the eoip with and eth port, connect that eth port to another 750 and use it as the gw and then mirror that port.

yep, ‘mirror’ is hardware switch chip feature, and the switch chip know nothing about tunnels. only raw Ethernet data. so your suggestion is the only possible for now…
