Missing Interface Icons in WinBox Interfaces List (CHR v7.23)

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a strange visual glitch in WinBox regarding the interface icons, and I was wondering if anyone else has run into this or knows a fix.

I have two CHR instances, both are on the exact same RouterOS version: v7.23 (x86_64).

The issue is that in the Interfaces menu, one of the routers properly displays the small interface type icons (Ethernet, GRE, WireGuard, Lo, etc.) right next to the interface name. However, on the second router, these icons are completely missing.

Here is what I have tried so far with no success:

  1. Cleared WinBox cache (Tools -> Clear cache from the loader, and also deleted the AppData Winbox folder).

  2. Tried from different PCs

  3. Verified that no custom "Skin" is applied to the user (it is set to default).

  4. Confirmed that the "Type" column is not the issue; I am referring to the sprite icons inside the "Name" column itself.

I have attached two screenshots comparing the two routers side by side.

Hi i had the same error. support dont have a idea, but i have found a fix.

  1. clean cache in winbox
  2. close winbox
  3. got to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\MikroTik\WinBox\sessions
  4. delete session file with your ip with the error
  5. open winbox and conenct again

have fun works fine.
