I’ve seen a couple people with this issue although none were exactly like mine so I figure I’d post here to see if anyone has feedback for me.
I’ve had my interfaces go missing on me twice now - the issue seems to be (temporarily) resolved by rebooting the router, however this is inconvenient to say the least. Here are notable points
- Both times this has happened to me I’ve been logged into winbox. The system seems to freeze and I get “TIMEOUT” a timeout error.
- The issue appears to be resolved by rebooting the MikroTik
- The issue arose shortly after we implemented a site-to-site SSTP VPN with my offsite backup server (this had previously been PPTP but the throughput was too slow)
- VPN Connections are refused / dropped once the interfaces disappear
- The firmware is 3.02 and the software version is 5.24
Has anyone else seen a resolution to this problem?
