I am pretty sure I know the answer but wanted to fly it by everyone. If we have a sector that has both 1x1 and 2x2 clients connected to it what is the impact on the speed to the 2x2 clients and AP when there are 1x1 clients on line? Do things slow down when waiting on data from a 1x1 client to TX/RX and then when a 2x2 client has data to TX or RX does the AP shift back to 2x2?
I have a senario when clients within 3 miles can all get great levels to the AP on 2x2 and almost all of them have great CCQ at 117Mbps, I have a number of customers who are 7 miles out and we can only get good levels using higher gain antenna and currently they are all only single pol so I wanted to know how big of an impact this would make. My other option is to add a second AP and use it for single chain and the current one for dual chain CPE and split it up.
