I have meshed 3 Mikrotiks but speed can be slow for a wireless client going through multiple hops. I can quite easily run a wire between 2 of the units but for the third it would require digging a 30m long trench so it has to stay wireless. Is it ok to have a mix of wired and WDS APs? I presume this would work ok and I can just turn WDS off on AP1?
My setup is quite simple. AP2 provides DHCP and internet. All APs are setup with the same wireless SSID and other settings and I just select Dynamic Mesh for WDS.
