I want to know if it is possible/wise to use a MikroTik product and a Ubiquiti product on the same tower/system.
For example using a RB 450G router and connect it to a Ubiquiti Sector antena.
I am wanting to start a ISP but I dont want to start off on the wrong foot.
You can do that. RouterBOARD uses regular standard protocols and is interoperable with most other network hardware.
But it’s worth to mention that wireless equipment shouldn’t be mixed.
You can build a wireless bridge with MT on one side and UBNT on the other, but you won’t be able to use vendor-specific protocols, which provide much better effectivity. The same with sector and clients.
