The latest version 3.25 should be the most stable.
i hope, last 3-4 release was a hole in the water! ![]()
All RouterOS versions can be used for different purposes. Sometimes a feature or two don’t work. So big deal - test and see if it works. See in the forums that nobody is complaining about serious problems with 3.24 and 3.25. It could easily work for your configuration, for the features that the network is using.
Later - post your results and contact support if you find something does not work.
Ummm, not true at all.
a versione must be stable for ALL purposes. i work with this software, i don’t joke. i cannot try every time all features. a serious problem of 3.23 (and, of course, fixed with a work-around in 3.24) is BGP&OSPF crash.
Then upload another version and reboot/downgrade the router and In 2 minutes - working version is up.
What can we do? Hey MikroTik team, test RouterOS more before a release, ok? I hope they will listen ![]()
if it were stable for ALL purposes, then there will be only RouterOS v3 (not v3.1, v3.2, …), then RouterOS v4 with new features, etc. it’s utopia…
