  1. set a strong password for api user
  2. add a few filter rules for protect brute force service
  3. disable api service
  4. etc…

It might be worth noting that the API port is disabled by default prior to 6.0.

More importantly though… any SPECIFIC recommendations on realistically viable brute force limiting rule(s)?
