Modem Vodafone K5160

Hi,

I got modem Vodafone (Huawei) K5160. It is lte modem and identified as 12d1:1f1e, then switched to 12d1:157f as lte modem.

  1. the mode works with x86 CHR version 6.38.7 well in KVM (for testing purposes)
  • the modem is identified as 12d1:1f1e
  • then it is switched by RouterOS to 12d1:157f
  • important: the switch is not done in underlying OS - if connected to workstation, nothing will happen and device is still as 12d1:1f1e. The switch is done after routing it to VM
  1. the modem does not work with RB2011
  • tested w/ 6.38.7 and w/ 6.40.3 versions
  • when connected it is visible on USB bus as 12d1:1f1e
  • no switch of modes

Is there any limitation w/ RB2011?
Why it behaves differently w/ CHR and RB2011?
